Task: Promote Technical Configuration To Quality Assurance Environment
Once the technical environment is established, it needs to be deployed to the Quality Assurance environment where the User Acceptance Testing will be carried out.
Relationships
Main Description

Before promoting the technical configuration to the production environment, the configuration must be moved from the development environment to the QA area for user acceptance testing. To carry out quality assurance (QA) promotion, a quality assurance (QA) readiness review must be performed to analyze and understand if the technical configuration of the environment conforms to the expected quality and standards. For this, the Engagement Manager (Transition) must identify and authorize appropriate individuals to conduct the QA readiness review. All required access must be provided to accomplish this review.

The results of the QA readiness review must be analyzed and inference drawn by the Engagement Manager (Transition) or delegate. In case of gaps with respect to the desired results, the configuration of the environment must be revisited. Once the QA environment is ready, technical configuration promotion to QA must be authorized. For this a change request may need to be raised and the promotion must be executed.

Typically, the results of the QA readiness review should be shared with all relevant stakeholders.
